【摘要】:ThisInternationalStandardspecifiesthecharacteristicsandlocationofamagneticstripeonasavingsbookasdefinedinClause4andtheuseofsuchsavingsbooksforinternationalinterchange.CompatibilitywithinternationalinterchangesystemsisprovidedthroughtherequirementsofthisInternationalStandard,enablingasavingsbookwithamagneticstripetobereadandpossiblyencodedinadevicethatiscompatiblewithreadingidentificationcardsusedininternationalinterchange.ThisInternationalStandardspecifiesrequirementsforamagneticstripe(includinganyprotectiveoverlay)onasavingsbook,theencodingtechniqueandcodedcharactersets.Italsospecifiesthecharacteristicsofthesavingsbookcoversuchasstiffness,minimumsize,surfaceirregularities,roughnessandinteractionbetweenthecovermaterialandthemagneticstripe.Ittakesintoconsiderationbothhumanandmachineaspectsandstatesminimumrequirements.CoercivityinfluencesmanyofthequantitiesspecifiedinthisInternationalStandardbutisnotitselfspecified.Exposureofthesavingsbooktoamagneticfieldislikelytodestroytherecordeddata.ThisInternationalStandarddefinesperformancecriteriaforsavingsbooks.NoconsiderationisgivenwithinthisInternationalStandardtotheamountofuse,ifany,experiencedbythesavingsbookpriortotest.Failuretoconformtospecifiedcriteriashouldbenegotiatedbetweentheinvolvedparties.ISO/IEC10373-2specifiesthetestproceduresusedtochecksavingsbooksagainsttheparametersspecifiedinthisInternationalStandard.Referencesinthetestmethodtocardsshallrefertosavingsbooks.NOTE1NumericvaluesintheSIand/orImperialmeasurementsysteminthisInternationalStandardmayhavebeenroundedoffandthereforeareconsistentwith,butnotexactlyequalto,eachother.Eithersystemmaybeused,butthetwoshouldnotbeintermixedorreconverted.TheoriginaldesignwasmadeusingtheImperialmeasurementsystem.NOTE2Nationalsystemsmayusedifferentspecifications,suchasDIN,aswellasproprietaryspecificationsforclosedsystems.
