【摘要】:Thistestmethodassessesthecutresistanceofamaterialwhenexposedtoacuttingedgeunderspecifiedloads.Dataobtainedfromthistestmethodcanbeusedtocomparethecutresistanceofdifferentmaterials.Thistestmethodonlyaddressesthatrangeofcuttinghazardsthatarerelatedtoacuttingactionacrossthesurfaceofthematerial.Itisnotrepresentativeofanyothercuttinghazardtowhichthematerialmaybesubjectedsuchasserratededges,sawbladesormotorizedcuttingtools.Norisitrepresentativeofpuncture,tear,orothermodesoffabricfailure.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthemeasurementofthecutresistanceofamaterialwhenmountedonamandrelandsubjectedtoacuttingedgeunderaspecifiedload.1.1.1Thisprocedureisnotvalidforhigh-porositymaterialswhichallowcuttingedgecontactwiththemountingsurfacepriortocutting.1.1.2Testapparatusmayhavelimitationsintestingthickermaterials;seetheAnnex,ortheequipmentmanufacturer''sspecifications.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsorinotherunitsshallberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemmaynotbeexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemmustbeusedindependentlyoftheother,withoutcombiningvaluesinanyway.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
