【摘要】:Thistestmethodisusefulforselectingcoatingpowdersthatgelinthedesiredtimeatthespecifiedtemperature.Themethodisnotusefulfordeterminationofcuretime.1.1Thistestmethoddeterminesthelengthoftimeathermosettingcoatingpowdertakestogelonapolishedmetalsurfaceataspecifiedtemperature,suchas204C(400F).Thedeterminationofthegeltimeisaverysimplemethodforthecharacterizationandqualitycontrolofcoatingpowders.However,thegeltimedeterminedbythismethodisnotdirectlyrelatedtothetimeforthecoatingpowdertocureinpracticalapplications.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
